Members of Free Spirit, Rival Mob, and Mob Mentality. They'll be playing a couple of California dates in July, including Destroy L.A. fest with Infest and Chain of Strength. Destroy LA Gilman July 14th
Alone in a Crowd was formed after Side By Side broke up, they only released one self titled 7" during the life of Alone in a Crowd. Later down the line it was re released on CD with added live tracks. Classic New York Hardcore.
My brother introduced me to this band when I was first getting into hardcore and it blew my mind that these guys grew up in San Ramon, California (a 5 minute drive from where we lived). Ever since then they've been one of the most influential bands in my life as well as one of their later projects, The Nerve Agents.
They didn't have the longest run compared to the bands they played with, but check them out anyway.
I've been pretty lazy with uploading music lately. I'll try to get back on track with newer releases/older stuff I find on my old hard drive. In the meantime here's a record from one of my favorite hardcore bands ever.
Saw Indian Taker a while back in San Francisco right before their tour with Casket. Something happened with their drummer before the show so the lineup was a little different than usual with the singer playing drums and singing at the top of his lungs. I'm pretty sure most of them are from Modesto, but from the sounds of it they have members all over the bay now.
Detroit Straight Edge. Reminds me of Straight Ahead and Brotherhood, sounds like it could have come out of the 80's. Excited to see what these guys do next.
